Squire Edge instructed me that I was to get a party of men from Strelley village and go over to Babbington village and demolish the old Chapel.

He said he wanted the villagers of Babbington to use Strelley All Saints for their Sunday worship from now on.

I did as instructed, and after the demolition the old stone church, and carried the stone to his yard inside the Strelley Hall grounds.
