The overlook of Bilborough
Opposite the farm was a scrub meadow that was very overgrown with thick grasses and a large pond with a spring of sweet ice cool water running into the end with five beech trees standing tall where children used to play on rope swings, In winter they used the pond as a ice ring, summer time I used to get frog spawn and crested newts from in the weed around the edge.

Overlooking the village
I can remember that there has always been on way into the small hamlet, leading its way to the church of St Martin of Tours, but it was earlier dedicated to St Cuthbert, St Martins has been around since the 13th century.

View from Blacksmiths cottage
As you go from the what was the Strelley to Broxtowe roadway with the Blacksmiths cottage on one side and a garage or out building you past some cottages on the left before coming to the Tithe Barn with dovecote, a little way further on we come to the outer walls of the Farm with in the nearest corner the pig stys, then after passing the farm and about 100 yards the road ends outside some more old cottages these are called "st martins cottages".
