Six Farms around Bilborough

Barton's Farm is located on St. Martin's Road, Bilborough, and is near to St. Martin's church and cottages, the former forge or smithy and is opposite to the site of the ancient Manor House. There is a reference to Burton's Farm on the 1881 Ordnance Survey map, but the farm is believed to be considerably older. Nottingham City Council purchased Burton's Farm in 1946. This was at the time Miss Edge sold some of the Edge sold some of the Edge family land to the City Council.

Old Park Farm

Old Park Farm once being part of the Willoughby estate, and probably the home of one of the family as it is seen as being of both historic and architectural interest. The house plan and style are typical of the early 18th century and stop-chamfered beams to the second floor would support an earlier rather than later date,.

Old Park Farm

Grange Farm is to be found on Tremayne Road, Bilborough. like Old Park Farm, Grange Farm is now surrounded by modern council houses. Grange Farm as Old Park farm is estimated to be at least 200 years old, and is of historical and architectural interest because of the unique beams, and plaster and ceilings in the old house. It is believed Grange Farm was again one of the major farms of the Willoughby Estate and was built for a local colliery owner.
