Bilborough, Nottinghamshire

Bilborough, August 24th 1989

These are some of my memories as a football manager, in the summer of 1989 while having a drink with my very good friend George Whylie, who was retiring from looking after a football team, asked me if I would be interested in taking it on the football club called Kingfisher Athletic.

After being with Kingfisher for three seasons I was asked too go a manage Boots Athletic, new to the Armature league and very different for me as Boots had a more senior squad and the team I had was the reserves for that side, another good year took the honours Premier Div Champions and also senior Cup and County Cup.
